OTHER REGULAR ACTIVITIES

Tuesday 10.00am & 7.30pm - Bible Study

 

In order to help as many of our congregation as possible to access the Bible study, we run a seesion in the morning which is repeated in the evening. We also have a Bible study for different people at different levels of their walk with Jesus. On 18 October and 01 November our Bible studies are for those still discovering what it means to follow Jesus with “A life worth living”  On 25 October and 0 November our Bible studies are for those who want to “go deeper.”

 

Wednesday 10.00am

 

A small but industrious group of ladies use their creative talents to produce hand made cards which are then sold to raise money for disaster relief. Donations for tea coffee and biscuits provide the resources so that 100% of the cost of the cards can be sent to the charity “incare” specifically concerned with disaster relief, so far this year we have sent money to the Japan Earthquake Appeal, New Zealand and the Haiti appeal.  There is always room for one more at the craft table whether a novice or an expert you are welcome along. Wednesday 7.00pm

 

Once a month we have a meeting for the leadership of the Church, but anyone is welcome to come along to learn more about the practical aspects of Church business and leadership. The next meeting is to be held on Wednesday 16 November.

 

Thursday 7.00am (prayer focus hour 9.30 am -10.30 am)

 

Every one is welcome to call in for a few minute or the whole morning to pray. For some just calling in for a few minutes at the start of a working day gives them a boost for others to just bring as need and know others will pray. Each week we have a specific prayer focus from 9.30 am - 10.30 a.m.  Prayer works and any one and everyone is welcome to call in either with a prayer request or to stay and pray or be prayed for. You can also email prayer requests to us.

 

Friday 7.00pm  - Worship practice

 

This is an opportunity to engage with Jesus in worship. Both in praise and worship, and with musical instruments. Anyone is welcome to come along, even if you are not confident enough to be part of the Worship Team on Sunday, you are welcome to come and help improve your skills and talents. We meet on alternate weeks. Next meeting is 28 October.

 

Saturday 11.00am

 

On the Saturday before the Family Service (the third Sunday in the month) we hold an open air service (weather permitting) at the Rise Park Shops (Bus Terminus). Baptismal Service

 

We believe that it is not only important that we have a life changing encounter with Jesus, but that this is worked out in everyday life. We recognise that Jesus died in our place and that we live our life in and through Him and we actively encourage all Born Again Believers to be Baptised in water by immersion and public confession of what Jesus has done and a testimony to our new life in Him. We will be holding a Baptismal Service on 16 October.
